Our product

UnPeel

Any label. One number.

UnPeel is our own product, and the clearest answer we can give to what Kerd does when nobody else is writing the brief.

Open unpeel.net

In development for iOS and Android

Point your camera at any ingredients label — food, skincare, supplements, pet food, household cleaners — and get a score out of ten in seconds, with the effects behind it and every allergen and regulatory flag.

Most scanners stop at the supermarket. UnPeel doesn’t.

Scan anything

Food, skincare, supplements, pet food, bleach. If it carries an ingredients panel, it carries a score.

One honest number

A 0–10 score built from ingredient composition, regulatory standing and what the product is actually for.

The reasoning, shown

Every allergen, every flag, every source. FDA, EFSA, ECHA and WHO records, translated into plain language.

Why we built it

Nobody reads the back of the pack. The information is there, it is just written for regulators rather than for a person standing in an aisle.

Existing scanners mostly handle groceries. The bathroom cabinet, the supplement shelf and the cupboard under the sink are where the confusing labels actually live.

A number on its own is a verdict. A number with its reasoning attached is a tool. UnPeel always shows the second one.

How it is built

On-device capture

The camera reads the panel on the phone, so scanning stays fast and stays yours.

Regulatory sources

Ingredient records are matched against FDA, EFSA, ECHA and WHO data rather than a scraped blog list.

Category-aware scoring

A preservative in a face cream is not the same finding as a preservative in yoghurt. The scoring knows the difference.

Native mobile

Built for iOS and Android as a real mobile app, because scanning happens standing up, one-handed, in bad light.

Where it is now

UnPeel is in development for iOS and Android, with no public launch date yet. The product site carries the current feature list and the full scoring explanation.
